fastbrowse

Fastbrowse is an open source browser automation tool designed for AI agents, developers, and automated workflows. It gives an agent access to local Chrome, hosted browsers, cloud browsers, or an existing browser session while maintaining control over sensitive actions and credentials. The tool indexes the controls available on a webpage and uses Jev to select an operation and target from that list. After each action, it checks the resulting page before continuing. Completed answers can include quoted page text, deep links, evidence of task completion, schema validated structured output, step counts, model calls, timing, and estimated cost. This makes browser results easier to verify and evaluate. Fastbrowse supports scoped secrets that remain outside model prompts, authorization gates before irreversible actions, saved browser profiles, Bitwarden integration, browser attachments, cloud extensions, and recorded replays. It can run through a command line interface, Python SDK, JavaScript SDK, MCP server, Codex, Claude Code, or other agent environments. The JavaScript SDK requires Node.js 20 or newer. The hosted service provides sandboxed Chrome browsers, API access, billing, run history, webhooks, schedules, recordings, audit logs, and multiple subscription plans. The project is MIT licensed, while hosted usage is charged per run with a minimum price of 0.005 dollars.
