Claude Duet is a research preview personal AI agent from Anthropic that works through messages or voice and operates in the background on tasks you assign. It provides a morning brief that highlights important inbox, calendar, business, and operational issues, then contacts you when a decision or approval is needed. The agent can draft replies, schedule meetings, prepare payroll for review, identify unpaid invoices, organize contracts, build presentations, create dashboards, and assemble business briefs. It can work with more than 6000 connectors and plugins and uses the memory, skills, and connected applications available through a Claude account. Completed work can be returned as documents, spreadsheets, decks, or other practical outputs. Claude Duet includes approval requests before sensitive actions such as sending messages or making payments. Logins, safety checks, and approvals run through a cloud computer, while users can view activity and guide the agent. It is available as a standalone application for iOS and Android and through the Claude website on computers. The service is currently available in the United States through a waitlist for Claude Pro and Max subscribers. Team and Enterprise plans are not yet included. Usage shares the subscribers existing Claude limits, and background work counts toward those limits.
