Backenly is an autonomous backend platform designed for AI coding agents such as Claude Code Cursor Codex Cline GitHub Copilot and Zed. Agents connect through the Backenly MCP server and can create and manage production backend resources including PostgreSQL tables relations indexes constraints pgvector authentication policies storage realtime functions triggers webhooks and integrations. The platform continuously monitors backend health through a self healing loop that checks systems every minute detects problems proposes repairs applies safe fixes and verifies the results. Additive and reversible changes can be applied automatically while destructive irreversible authentication related or potentially write blocking changes wait for human approval. Every change is snapshotted logged and undoable where applicable. Each project uses an isolated PostgreSQL schema with direct connection strings standard REST APIs PostgREST OpenAPI support pg_dump exports and typed SDK access. Authentication supports passwords OAuth magic links and verification emails. Storage supports local disk and S3 compatible providers with signed URLs. Realtime events use server sent events and functions can run on database events or schedules. Backenly includes branches teams role based collaboration monitoring approvals restore points and a command line interface. It is open source under Apache 2.0 and can be self hosted or used through cloud regions in Mumbai Frankfurt US East US West and Singapore. Cloud pricing includes a permanent free plan Pro at 25 dollars per month and custom Enterprise options.
